Ice Castles

I decided since we couldn't play in the snow and ice we'd make ice toys of our own so Anna and I made ice castles.

Winter Activities in the Warm

If we can't have winter I thought I'd just do some wintery things. We went on a nature walk and collected items on our walk to make a sun catcher with when we got the items we froze them in a pie pan and hung them outside to see how long it took it to melt. It took 4 hours. lol

Florida Snow

Since we missed all the snow up north we decided to make our own. I wanted her to at least see some of the texture and what it was like to make a snowball and snowmen even if it was all on a smaller scale.

Craziness in GA

This is a car that was in front of us at a gas station in GA. The man got out of the car and had overalls on and gun strapped to his side and proceeded to dig through their trash. I snapped this picture before I saw him with the gun or I probably would've been to chicken. lol What you can't see is on top of the car he had various bottles of syrups for sale and the trees in the back are for sale as well. The front hood had a huge bird mounted on it.

Daddy in a box

Max, Anna, and Jason played monster. Jason of course was the monster but the monster being Anna's dad she wasn't very afraid. However, Max really got into it. He knew you were suppose to run from the monster not to it. Here he's trying to rescue Anna.

Anna and Aunt Shella

Aunt Shella was getting practice in playing with a toddler girl. A bit easier than a toddler boy but they can wear you out all the same.

Santa Delivers!

All Anna asked for was a Dora Castle this year. When we woke her up she said, Santa didn't come.. I said why do you think that she said because I never heard his sleigh all I heard were cars. I said well look in the floor. Instead of running to the big present she ran to the stocking. She took out everything one at a time savoring each thing no matter how big or small. Jason got frustrated with her b/c he wanted her to hurry and open the big gift but there was no rushing a little woman on a mission. lol

Group Picture!

My family are use to group pictures only we'd gotten out of the habit of it over the past few years. I love looking back at all those pictures to see who spent Christmas with us those years and to remember those who aren't here for Christmas anymore.

Group Photo!

Jason's family isn't use to having group photo's done but I come from a scrapbooking family and I was tired of not having any good photo's of that side of the family so needless to say they were less than happy with me. However, I think Jason's mom was happy to finally get a picture with the whole gang. Get use to it guys! There's more to come. lol

Before we traveled North we visited Christmas Lane. Anna loved all the lights. Its quiet amazing this guy does all this for free every year. It's extreme Christmas cheer at it's best!

Anna got to see her cousin Lawson. She total thought he was the coolest doing everything he did. She followed him everywhere he went holding his hand. I think she was smitten!

Anna recruited Hailey as her personal story teller. She told me later she wore Hailey out playing. lol
