Untapped Wisdom
I am currently doing the bible study Creative Correction by Lisa Whelchel. It's filled with ways to get your kids focused on relating correction with biblical principals. I am almost finished with it and I highly recommended it.

Anna is almost 3 and at the stage where she's been saying, "I can't do it!" followed by a whiny crying. I'll say try again but it's just a cycle of I can't!! So in my bible study today it says you should tell your children the verse, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." So today when Anna took all the pillows off the couch. I said put those back please. She replied with I can't. I said well the bible says, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, so Christ will give you the strength to get those pillows back from where you got them. To my surprise she was wide eyed and said, Jesus will give me strength? I said, yes and she began to put all the pillows back exclaiming Jesus gives me lots of strength mommy!! She put every pillow back without whining! I was very very happy!

It's amazing how many teachable moments pass us by without us even realizing it. I am so thankful for bible studies geared towards mommies that help us recognize those moments.
