Organizing Choas

Well I've finally after 13 hours of working yesterday planted flowers in the yard while my husband mulched and helped and did edging. Then I went on inside to tackle the upstairs guest room since we've only been moved in for a few weeks and the movers idea of unpacking and my own were very different it's been a bear of a chore. Did I mention I am having a baby in 6 more weeks. Yes, I am very pregnant to boot.

Anyway, my mother and father in law are coming this weekend to visit us at our new abode so things had to kick into high speed. The piles of clothes throw everywhere and stacks of books had to find a home and the beds had to be made and and it basically had to turn itself into an actual room but with the good Lord's help and prayer yesterday it was finally transformed!!

I am so excited. Now all I have to do is find a cherry dresser for the baby to be and I can have her room all fixed as well.

My friend was talking about getting ready for the baby they are adopting from Kazastan and how she was nesting so bad even though it wasn't a biological child (she has to biological children two boys they're adopting a girl) she still couldn't pass by a junk drawer without cleaning it out. I thought how wonderful to just have junk drawers to oragnize b/c at the moment I had junk Rooms to organize.

It's overwhelming when I stop to think about all everything that is about to change our lives in just a short time because I have so much to do. My husband says okay tell me what you have to do and I'll help.. oh if it were only that simple.. you see first I have to organize the choas in my mind before I can even verbally begin to tell others what even needs to be done. I need to finish Ava's room before she gets here. I need to wash some of her clothes and figure out where to put all the toys. I need to pay attention to my three year old who misses all of her freinds and playing at the park. (did I mention they aren't very public park friendly here in good ole TN? there's not one park in our whole town I can take her to to play) I need to find a dresser for the baby's room and a matching dresser for Anna in her room. I need to organize and clean the garage and just plain old clean the house. I also need to make some more food for the hummingbirds who've sucked the entire feeder dry in 3 days.

I have accomplished organizing the downstairs and hanging all the pictures except for one mirror that was to heavy to lift. Now I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks all who prayed for me to find a good church and make some mommy friends. We went to a church Sunday and to the Sunday School class and my husband and I both loved the teacher. The people were very welcoming in the churches we've been to in the past it takes weeks to even learn peoples names. Here people invited us to sit with them told us their names. After class several girl came to me and gave a quick synopsis of thier story and invited me to sit with them at church and then exchanged numbers. After church it was the same thing girls from all over came introduced themselves and invited me to the different ministries. I signed up for the Lisa Whelchel's My story (scrapbooking biblestudy) I had actually just bought the whole thing because I loved the creative correction one so much. Only hopefully if my mom is here during that I will be able to attend. It doesn't provide childcare but God works in mysterious ways I am going to wait a bit before I take my name off the list. I am very excited that soon I will have others to talk to other than the builders, painters, and drywall men. I will actually have some women to talk to..!! LOL Hey it's lonely being a mommy sometimes but it's worth it. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Obviously I liked it so much I am trying it again. God is so good.

Above are some pictures I took after I cleaned up enough stuff to get into the rooms to take a picture. This was what we paid Allied to do the unpacking service. Like I said their idea of unpacking and my were totally different.

I think my nesting has set in as well, although now I'm getting tired again...so hopefully I'll get everything done before baby arrives. I've got 7 weeks....
